Football Season Ticket Sales Exceed 40,000 Mark

Sept. 2, 2008

Columbia, Mo. – As the 2008 Mizzou Football home opener approaches with this Saturday’s 6 p.m. contest against Southeast Missouri State, University of Missouri Athletic Department officials have indicated that season ticket sales for 2008 games have surpassed the 40,000 mark – shattering the previous modern-day record of 34,878 in 2004.

A limited number of season tickets remain available on the East and West sides of Memorial Stadium near the goal line, for a six-game price of $280.

Single-game ticket sales for 2008 also continue to move at a fast pace.  Reserved seating for both the Oklahoma State (Oct. 11th) and Colorado (Oct. 25th) games are sold out, with general admission hillside and temporary bleacher seating (field level and North concourse) as the only available locations remaining for those games.  A limited amount of reserved single-game tickets do remain available, however, for the other four home games, including Southeast Missouri State (Sept. 6th), Nevada (Sept. 13th), Buffalo (Sept. 20th) and Kansas State (Nov. 8th).
