Aug. 18, 2008
Columbia, Mo. - -
Tiger Talk, the weekly radio show featuring Missouri Coaches Gary Pinkel and Mike Anderson, has a new location for the upcoming 2008-09 school year. Mizzou Sports Properties, the multi-media rights holder for Mizzou Athletics, has reached an agreement with Buffalo Wild Wings to host the live show this season, with the debut set for Monday, August 25th at 7 p.m. (central). Additionally, The Insurance Group will sponsor the show this year.
Buffalo Wild Wings, located at 3908 Peachtree Drive in south Columbia, will host all 30 Tiger Talk broadcasts throughout the year, spanning both football and men's basketball seasons. The show will be hosted by longtime Voice of the Tigers, Mike Kelly, and will feature regular visits with top student-athletes in addition to the appearances by MU coaches, as they discuss previous games and look ahead to future matchups.
"Buffalo Wild Wings is thrilled to be a part of the Mizzou tradition as the new home for Tiger Talk," said the restaurant's Marketing Manager Christina Linnenbringer. "We feel that this partnership will give MU fans a great place to be a part of Mizzou Athletics, whether watching the live coach's show in Columbia or supporting MU during a game in any of our 11 locations. We are excited to be an official supporter of MU."
For those unable to attend the show in person each week, Tiger Talk will be aired live on the 50-station Tiger Radio Network.
