A limited number of tickets to the 2009 State Farm Border Showdown football game between Missouri and Kansas will be available for purchase, beginning on Friday, August 7th. The Tigers and Jayhawks will meet at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on Nov. 28th.
Tickets will go on sale at 6 p.m. this Friday, and will be available online only throughout the weekend. Beginning Monday, August 10th at 8 a.m., any remaining tickets will be available for purchase by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS (884-PAWS in mid-Missouri) or in person at the Mizzou Arena Ticket Office.
As a reminder to Tiger Football fans, the seventh annual Football Fan Appreciation Day is set for this Sunday, August 9th, at Memorial Stadium. Gates open at 4 p.m., and fans will have the opportunity to get on Faurot Field to meet all of the Tiger coaches and players and get autographs. The event will go until 5:30 p.m., and there is no admission charge. Fans are asked to limit outside items to one for autograph purposes, in order to allow everyone in attendance to have their chance at getting signatures. Free schedule posters will also be available.
