  • Mizzou Football continued fall camp in preparation for the 2013 season on Friday morning, once again taking to the Kadlec Practice Fields. The only difference today was that this workout featured on-again, off-again sprinklings of rain to cool down the Mid-Missouri temperatures.

The squad practiced without pads for a second day and spirits remained high among the Tigers due to the less-intense workout temperature.

In one segment of Mizzou's practice routines, defensive linemen gave their best pass-rushing efforts against the team's offensive linemen. In a simulation of the trenches featuring a tackling dummy at quarterback to protect, senior OL Justin Britt and Max Copeland stood out by showing their ability to slide along with rushing defenders.

On the defensive side, junior DE Kony Ealy and senior DT Marvin Foster put forth excellent efforts. Ealy was effective with outside maneuvers to reach his target, while Foster used a bull rush to collapse the pocket.

After the normal practice routine was complete, Mizzou closed the day with a circuit of physical training stations, including the staples of distance running, push-ups, sit-ups and jumping jacks. With the closing PT work, the singular practice of the day still featured a steady dose of conditioning for the Tigers.

Missouri continues practice on Saturday at 7:15 a.m. Mizzou fans should remember that Sunday is Fan Day at Memorial Stadium. The 11th annual event begins at 3:45 p.m., with the Tiger players and coaches on hand to sign autographs until 5:15 p.m. Admission is free!
