COLUMBIA, Mo. – Former Mizzou Heisman Trophy finalist and record-setting quarterback Chase Daniel has teamed with the University of Missouri to produce his first MU-related item of clothing that is now on sale. Daniel, who smashed a plethora of Mizzou passing and total offense records during his Tiger career (2005-08), and his company, 10Star Apparel, have licensed with Mizzou to offer a unique t-shirt available for purchase now.
The shirt is available in men’s and women’s versions, and can be ordered online on the MUTigers.com website here for men and here for women. Shirts will also be available in the Tiger Team Store at Memorial Stadium, and are expected to be in stock the week of April 14th, leading up to Mizzou’s Black & Gold Spring Game on April 19th. At this time, the piece is exclusive to MU’s official campus retailers.
Daniel, founder and chief executive officer for 10Star, said the idea began when his company recently produced shirts exclusively for the Mizzou football team, through Director of Equipment Operations Don Barnes.
“It was a great experience to go through and made it clear that it was time to take it to the next level and start getting items out to the amazing Mizzou fan base that was so supportive during my time there,” said Daniel. “We decided to release these exclusive shirts to kick off the long-term relationship between 10Star and Mizzou with the notion that this will be the first of many Mizzou items that 10Star Apparel can produce. It’s a great opportunity to do something for our company that also benefits a place that I love dearly and owe so much to for my success. It’s a true win-win situation for everyone,” he said.
Daniel, who graduated from Mizzou in 2008 with a business finance degree, formed his company in 2011 as part of the B&E Industries family. 10Star Apparel has a facility in Arlington, Texas, and offers a large selection of apparel, in-house screen printing and embroidery services.
