After getting his first playing experience as a collegian in 2008 as a redshirt freshman, he's primed to challenge for a starting spot on the offensive line ... The push for a starting role began during the spring, and he emerged listed atop the depth chart at the left guard position, where he'll be part of a spirited competition to replace departed three-year starter Ryan Madison ... 2008 SEASON

Saw significant action as a redshirt freshman, playing in 10 games, primarily in a reserve role, but getting more meaningful snaps as the season wore on ... Served as the primary backup to all-Big 12 right guard Kurtis Gregory ... Contributed to Mizzou's record-setting offense which ranked among the NCAA top-10 in four major statistical categories ... Won the team's Hammer Award for the biggest hit during MU's game at top-ranked Texas ... Was awarded for his work in the classroom by being named a 1st-Team Academic All-Big 12 selection.

Redshirted in his first year in the Tiger program, working on the offensive scout team while getting bigger and stronger in the strength program.
