2009 OUTLOOK
After getting his first playing experience as a collegian in 2008 as a redshirt freshman, he's primed to challenge for a starting spot on the offensive line ... The push for a starting role began during the spring, and he emerged listed atop the depth chart at the left guard position, where he'll be part of a spirited competition to replace departed three-year starter Ryan Madison ... 2008 SEASON
Saw significant action as a redshirt freshman, playing in 10 games, primarily in a reserve role, but getting more meaningful snaps as the season wore on ... Served as the primary backup to all-Big 12 right guard Kurtis Gregory ... Contributed to Mizzou's record-setting offense which ranked among the NCAA top-10 in four major statistical categories ... Won the team's Hammer Award for the biggest hit during MU's game at top-ranked Texas ... Was awarded for his work in the classroom by being named a 1st-Team Academic All-Big 12 selection.
2007 SEASON
Redshirted in his first year in the Tiger program, working on the offensive scout team while getting bigger and stronger in the strength program.
HIGH SCHOOL
Rated by Rivals as the No. 47 offensive guard in the nation, as well as the No. 29 overall prospect (any position) in the state of Illinois ... Caught the eye of Mizzou coaches after outstanding performances at Mizzou camps in both 2005 and 2006 ... Paved the way for high-scoring offenses at Triad High School, where he also contributed on the defensive line and also at linebacker ... Named team MVP and won All-State, All-Conference and All-Metro honors as a senior in 2006, as his team averaged 34.5 points per game and won a 3rd-straight conference championship with over 4,200 yards of total offense on the season ... Added 51 tackles on defense as a senior ... Won All-Metro, All-Conference and All-Area mention as a junior in 2005 while helping his offense to over 4,200 yards on the season ... All-Conference and All-Area pick as a sophomore as his team averaged a whopping 45.4 points per game and amassed nearly 4,000 yards of offense on the year ...
