2004 OUTLOOK

Strong, athletic defensive end who is one of four returning starters looking to make the Mizzou defensive line one of the tops in the Big 12 Conference ... Had a strong spring, as the Tiger defense looked to be one of the more improved squads in the league ... Had a tackle for loss in the annual Black and Gold Game to close out the spring period ... Is a proven run-stopper who can also drop back in coverage when needed.

2003 SEASON

Provided a nice impact at defensive end, where he started 11 games on the year ... Ranked 10th on the team in tackles, with 50 total ... Tied for 3rd on the squad with 11 tackles for loss (28 yards), including a career-best 3 TFLs (7 yards) against Texas A&M ... Accounted for 3 takeaways on the season, including 1 interception (against Nebraska), forced fumble (at Ball State) and recovered fumble (Eastern Illinois) ... Interception came in the 4th quarter against Nebraska with 5:30 left and MU leading 34-24 ... Dropped back in a zone blitz package and picked off NU's Jaamal Lord and returned it 39 yards down to the Husker 7 yardline, where MU punched it in from to seal its first win over Nebraska since 1978 ... 2002 SEASON

Sat out the season after his bout with appendicitis ... Rejoined the team shortly after the surgery, and eventually was cleared to return to practice late in the year.
