2008 SPRING OUTLOOK
Talented athlete who moves over to the offensive side of the ball after spending his first two years on defense ... Will line up at receiver after he wowed coaches and teammates as part of his work with the scout team last December in preparations for the Cotton Bowl against Arkansas ... Played receiver and tailback on the scout team, and was impressive imitating Razorback star running back Darren McFadded ... Enters spring camp listed No. 3 on the depth chart at the H-receiver position ... Changed his jersey number this spring to 2 after wearing number 7 a season ago.
2007 SEASON
Spent his second year in the program continuing his development at the cornerback position ... Did not see the field as a redshirt freshman, but showed his considerable skills throughout the year during practices ... Changed his jersey number in the spring to 7 after wearing number 30 in 2006.
2006 SEASON
Redshirted in his first season in the program, working as part of the practice squad.
HIGH SCHOOL
Versatile athlete who was an all-district quarterback at Dallas' South Oak Cliff High School ... Was a 2-year starter at signal caller, and was a team captain in both football and basketball ... Passed for over 1,000 yards and ran for over 300 as a senior, adding 10 passing TDs and 3 rushing scores that season ... As a junior, earned 2nd-Team All-District honors at QB after passing for over 1,200 yards (13 TDs) and rushing for over 500 more (6 TDs) ... Basketball team won a state championship as a junior ...
