2007 SEASON Had a break-out season as a junior, winning 1st-Team All-Big 12 honors from multiple media outlets for a season that saw him record 60 tackles and a team-best 11 tackles for loss (71 yards), while adding 6 QB sacks ... Also led the team with 4 forced fumbles as he was a constant disruptive force for opposing offenses ... Had a great performance to close the year in MU's Cotton Bowl victory over Arkansas, as he tied his season high with 6 tackles against the Razorbacks, adding 2 TFLs in the process as Mizzou shut down the normally potent Hog offense ... Recorded five tackles in season opener against Illinois ... Had a big QB sack in the third quarter for a loss of 14 yards on third down that led to a punt that was returned 66 yards for a TD by the Tigers Jeremy Maclin ... Had two tackles against Ole Miss and made six stops against Western Michigan ... Made two tackles for loss against WMU, totalling 16 yards ... Also had his eighth career sack against the Broncos ... Recorded his third sack of the year against Illinois State and had three tackles against ISU ... Had four stops vs. Nebraska ... Made four tackles against Oklahoma and forced a fumble in the first quarter that was recovered by MU's Darnell Terrell ... Intercepted his first career pass as he picked a deflected Graham Harrell pass out of the air and returned it 38 yards for the Tigers' first TD against Texas Tech ... Made four tackles against Iowa State and had two sacks (totaling a loss of 19 yards), with one causing a fumble that was recovered in the ISU endzone by teammate Lorenzo Williams ... Role increased late in the year following the injury to alltime QB sacks leader Brian Smith, and his season tackles total ranked 3rd among MU defensive linemen and his 5 PBUs ended tied for 3rd on the squad overall ... Took over Smith's starting spot in game #9 against Oklahoma, and started games #10 and #11, in addition to starting the season opener opposite Smith against Murray State ... Has 11 career starts under his belt, with 7 coming during his redshirt freshman season last year ... Came off the bench in the Sun Bowl, but turned in a solid outing, recording 5 tackles, including 1 QB sack, and he also recovered a fumble ... Had 2 tackles, 1 QB pressure and 1 PBU at Texas Tech ... The pass break up was a key one that came on a 4th-down attempt by the Red Raiders inside the MU 10-yardline in the 4th quarter ... 2005 SEASON Very talented and athletic defensive end who emerged as a big playmaker in his first season on the field for the Tigers ... Shared the team's freshman of the year honors with TE Chase Coffman, and was named a 1st-Team Freshman All-Big 12 performer by the Sporting News ... Took over as the starter at one end spot for the final 7 games of the season ... Had 38 total tackles on the year, including 6.5 tackles for loss (42 yards) and 4 QB sacks (34 yards) ... Tied for 2nd on the team with 3 forced fumbles, as he forced a fumble each in three consecutive games against Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado ... His forced fumble at Colorado came on a QB sack of Joel Klatt that teammate Jamar Smith picked up early in the 3rd quarter and ran back 12 yards for a TD, while his forced fumble at Kansas led to MU's only score of the game ... Had 4 tackles against Iowa State in his first career start, and made that pay off, as he sacked ISU QB Bret Meyers on the game's 1st play from scrimmage ... Followed with 6-tackle outings in consecutive games against Nebraska and at Kansas ... Had a productive day at #24 Colorado, as he had 5 tackles and 2 TFLs in all ... Was credited with 2 tackles against #2 Texas, and one of those was an impressive QB sack of Heisman finalist Vince Young that went for a loss of 13 yards ... Looked to most observers to have been ready to contribute the previous year as a true freshman, but was able to take a redshirt year, thanks to MU's strong depth on the defensive line in 2004.

HIGH SCHOOL Standout defensive end at Rockdale High School who was a 1st-team all-state selection in 2003 by the Texas Sports Writers Association after leading his team with 83 tackles ... Returned an interception 78 yards for a touchdown and also caught 1 touchdown and 1 2-point conversion playing the tight end spot ... Was his team's 5th-leading tackler as a junior in 2002, with 70 total tackles ... Earned 1st-team all-district mention as well as his team's defensive MVP award that year ... Solid all-around athlete who competed in baseball, basketball and track at Rockdale, and was a regional qualifier in the high jump in 2002 ... High school coach - Casey Creghan.
