Another very athletic youngster who, as part of MU's highly-regarded 2008 recruiting class, put himself in position to earn some playing time in the fall with a strong spring camp ... 2008 SEASON

Redshirted in his first year in the program, but was a frequent standout in practices throughout the season for his athletic play and continually developing confidence and skills ... Was named the defensive Back-Up Player of the Week for his work in practice leading up to the game at Nebraska.

High School

Earned 1st-Team All-State recognition as a senior cornerback in 2007 for his season which included 24 tackles, 12 pass break ups, 5 INTs and 1 forced fumble ... Was a team captain who also returned kickoffs (24.0 avg.) and punts (17.17 avg.) ... Had 40 tackles as a junior, with 11 pass breakups, while rushing for 250 yards and averaging 30 yards per kickoff return (including one he ran back 99 yards for a TD) ... Played on DeSmet's 2005 Class 6 state championship team that won the state title with a 48-31 win over Hazelwood Central ...
