HIGH SCHOOL

Was a 1st-Team All-State tight end and a 1st-Team All-Conference defensive end for Ste. Genevieve High School as a senior, when he caught 102 passes (a state high school record for a 10-game season), for 1,302 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns while serving as a team captain ... Notched 64 tackles from his end position as a senior, including 13 tackles for loss, with 3 QB sacks, and also returned his only interception for a touchdown ... As a junior, was named a 2nd-Team All-State performer at tight end, while taking home 1st-Team All-Conference honors at defensive end the same year ... High school coach - Robert Stolzer.
