Is a seasoned veteran with 40 career games under his belt who is known as arguably the hardest hitter on the team - something that belies his very quiet and reserved nature off the field.


Continued his development into a play-making safety, and furthered his reputation as a fearless hitter ... Played in all 14 games and totaled 39 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss ... Was a standout in Mizzou's game at #1 Texas, when he had a career-high 9 tackles, including 5 of the solo variety ... Made one tackle against Illinois and followed that with two stops against Southeast Missouri State .. Had three tackles in each of the next three games (vs. Nevada, Buffalo and Nebraska) ... Had a then-season-high of six tackles against Oklahoma State ... Had four tackles against Kansas State and made a pair of stops at Iowa State ... Made four tackles in the Big 12 Championship game against Oklahoma ... Had off-season surgery on his left shoulder to repair torn labrum that he played with during the 2007 season ... Was eventually cleared toward the end of spring camp to play, and he came back to grab an interception and record a pair of tackles in the annual Black & Gold Spring Game ... Was the starting CB opposite Darnell Terrell for the first 4 games, but moved to free safety, where he finished the season ... Opened the season with six tackles against Illinois ... A vicious hitter who laid some serious wood on Illini QB Juice Williams, and knocked him out of the game in the second quarter ... Had three stops in each of the next two games (at Ole Miss and vs. Western Michigan) ... Had a tackle for loss against Illinois and Ole Miss) ... Made six tackles against Illinois State ... Had a pair of stops against Nebraska and made a tackle in win over Colorado ... Saw his playing time and production tail off toward the latter half of the year as he was battling the injured shoulder.

Redshirt freshman cornerback who began the season as an understudy to Domonique Johnson, but took over the starting role when Johnson missed much of the season with a knee injury ... Started 8 times from games #4 through #11, and played admirably, despite his youth and inexperience at the collegiate level ... Collected 40 tackles in the 1st 11 games, including a career-high 8 stops at Texas A&M ... Also notched 6 stops against Oklahoma, and added 4 tackles each in outings against Nebraska, Iowa State and Murray State ... Had a half-tackle for loss in consecutive games against Ole Miss and New Mexico early in the season, and had 3 tackles and 1 pass broken up at Texas Tech ... Has the size, speed and quickness to play several different spots in the defensive backfield ... Ranked as the No. 12 overall prospect in the state of Missouri and the No. 58 defensive back in the nation by Rivals.com ... Starred on both sides of the ball, as he was a 1st-Team all-state selection as a defensive back in 2004, while earning the same honor at running back as a junior in 2003 ...
