Moved to defense, where he played 10 games, starting 5 of them, at strongside linebacker ... Started the first three games of the season, and had two more starts in the latter part of the season ... Had 15 tackles on the season playing in his new position, including a half-tackle behind the line of scrimmage ... Won Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior and was ranked among the nation's top five linebackers and running backs ... Earned Class 5A all-state honors and was St. Louis Post-Dispatch and St. Louis American Metro Defensive Player of the year in 2001 ... Recorded 87 tackles, including 3 sacks as a senior ...
