Talented young prospect who hopes to provide help on the offensive line in 2008 in what will be his third year in the program ... Enters spring camp listed at No. 2 on the depth chart at the right tackle position, behind returning starter Colin Brown.
2007 SEASON
Saw action in one game during the season, and is a Texas native who got to return to near his hometown of Southlake, Texas, for the Cotton Bowl ... Practiced most of the year at the right tackle position, and saw action in one game, logging reserve minutes against Texas Tech ... Was a valuable member of the scout team throughout the year, helping prepare the Tiger defense for opponent's gameplans.
2006 SEASON
Redshirted in his first season in the program, working as part of the practice squad.
HIGH SCHOOL
Was a two-year starter on an offensive line that paved the way for one of the more impressive runs in national high school history ... Played on Southlake Carroll teams that went 47-1 in three years, including consecutive 16-0 seasons in 2004 and 2005 ... Ranked as the No. 33 offensive tackle prospect in the nation, according to Scout.com ... Was a starter for his last two years, with Carroll going 32-0 in games in which he started ... Both years saw the Dragons win the Texas 5A state championship, and end the year as the mythical national champions in various polls ... Earned 1st-Team all-state honors (by the Texas Sportswriters' Association, as well as Scout.com) as a senior, and added 1st-Team designation on the all-district squad as well, and was his team's co-captain in 2005 ...
