• 2012 SEC Academic Honor Roll

• 2012 - Spring Team Most Improved Cornerback

Underrated defender who looks to step into a starter's role with a strong camp ... Opens fall drills listed atop the depth chart at one corner spot, and he's got plenty of experience, with 25 career games played and five career starts overall ... Initially came to Mizzou as a walk-on but was awarded with a scholarship after the 2011 season.

Had another productive year as a valuable contributor when the Tigers used an extra secondary man ... Turned in a career-high 45 tackles (which ranked him 9th on the team) in 12 games, while he added a pair of pass break ups and an interception to go with 3.5 tackles for loss ... Started twice on the year, including games against Arizona State and at Texas A&M ... Had a season-high seven tackles twice on the year, first at South Carolina (adding a PBU in that game) and later in MU's Homecoming win over Kentucky ... Had a big game against Syracuse as he made six tackles, including a tackle for loss, and intercepted a pass that he returned for 11 yards in the second half ... Made two tackles at Tennessee in MU's 4-overtime win, and also broke up a pass in the endzone late in the game to prevent a touchdown for the Vols ... Had five tackles each in outings against Arizona State and Vanderbilt, and added four stops against Georgia in MU's first-ever SEC contest ... Won the team's most improved cornerback award for an outstanding spring camp.

Was one of the most pleasant surprise stories on the defense, as he worked his way up the depth chart and became a key contributor ... Played in all 13 games, and made 3 starts, while he finished the year with 37 tackles, 1 interception and 4 pass break ups ... His 37 tackles ranked 11th on the team, while his 4 PBUs was tied for 2nd-most on the squad ... Closed his season by making 3 stops against North Carolina in the Independence Bowl ... Had a pair of tackles against Miami-Ohio in his first career game ... had a tackle in each game against Arizona State, Western Illinois and Kansas State ... had two tackles and a pass breakup against Iowa State ... got his first career start against Oklahoma State and recorded four tackles and another pass breakup ... had a monster game at Texas A&M, finishing with six solo tackles, a forced fumble, a pass break up and a fourth quarter interception that he returned 45 yards in Aggie territory, setting up a Tiger touchdown ... that pickoff was the key play as it helped MU rally from an 11-point 4th-quarter deficit ... finished the Baylor game with three tackles ... recorded five tackles in the MU victory against Texas ... posted nine total tackles against Texas Tech while adding a pass breakup.
