2004 OUTLOOK
Veteran lineman who has been a valuable contributor at several spots on the line throughout his years ... Gives Tiger defensive front great versatility, as he is strong enough to play the interior positions, but is diverse enough to play the end when called upon, as well ... Enters fall camp at No. 2 on the depth chart at the noseguard spot ... Had one tackle for loss in the annual Black and Gold Game.
2003 SEASON
Proved to be a solid contributor to the front four and particularly came on strong to close the year ... Six of his 12 tackles on the year came in MU's last 3 regular-season games, and had a 2-tackle outing versus Iowa State that saw him earn his 1st career start ... Started the game at end, and also played inside some, giving MU valuable versatility in the trenches ... Had a career-high 3 tackles at #19 Kansas State, and also broke up a pass in that game ... Had 2 stops against Texas Tech and added 1 quarterback hurry on a vicious hit on Tech's B.J. Symons that knocked Symons out of the game in the 4th quarter ... Won the team's weekly big hit award for that hit against Tech ... Earned 2nd-Team Academic All-Big 12.
2002 SEASON
Played in all 12 games, and recorded seven tackles on the year ... Had highs of two each against Nebraska and Kansas ... Recovered a fumble against Troy State that set up a Tiger score ... Received 1st-Team Academic All-Big 12 honors for the second-straight season.
2001 SEASON
Young lineman who worked his way onto the field by the end of the season ... Played a significant number of minutes in the final three games of the season, both at defensive tackle and defensive end ... Made three tackles and recovered a fumble to halt a Kansas State drive on the MU 10-yard line in Manhattan ...Was a 1st-Team Academic All-Big 12 selection.
2000 SEASON
Redshirt year.
HIGH SCHOOL
Received first team all-district, all-conference and all-state honors ... Tallied 124 tackles including 10.5 sacks ... Was also a key blocker on the offensive line for a Helias team that rushed for 3,453 yards in 1999 ... Was co-captain of the 1999 team that finished as state-runner-up ... Part of the state championship team in 1998 ... Rated as the third-best defensive lineman in the area by Mo-Kan Recruiting ... Selected Missouri over Kansas State, Iowa State and Iowa ... Also played baseball, leading the team to a 3A state championship while hitting 12 home runs ... High school coach - Mike Jeffries.
