Strong-legged local Columbia product who will have a chance to compete for the starting kicking duties in 2009, following the graduation of former standout Jeff Wolfert, who ended his career having broken the NCAA record for best career accuracy ... Begins fall drills atop the depth chart at the placekicker position, and will likely also factor into plans for kickoff duties, thanks to his strong right leg ... Competed in the spring as the likely favorite, and performed well with the pressure, making a majority of his kicks in scrimmage situations, including a pair of kicks in the spring game, from 36 and 37 yards.


Saw his first Division I gridiron action, as he got on the field in three games ... Handled kickoff duties once each in games against Southeast Missouri State, Nevada and Colorado, averaging 67.7 yards per kickoff ... Opponents averaged just 22.0 yards on their 3 return attempts, with their average starting position of their own 24 yardline ... Joined the team prior to the 2007 season, after transferring from cross-city Columbia College, where he played soccer for two seasons before deciding on attending and playing football at Mizzou ... Had a good spring practice period, as he showed the potential to contribute in multiple ways in the kicking game.


Joined the team as a walk-on after spending his two previous collegiate years lettering in soccer at nearby NAIA Columbia College ... Once won national player of the week honors at Columbia College for his play on the pitch.


Outstanding all-around athlete who was an all-state player in both football (as a punter) and soccer, while also lettering in golf one season ... Averaged 40.1 yards per punt as a senior for Rock Bridge, and was named an All-State selection by the Coaches ... Was a star goalie for Coach David Graham's soccer teams, as he recorded school records for most wins in a season, lowest goals allowed average and had the second-most saves in a season ... High school coach - A.J. Ofodile, a former Tiger standout tight end.


Parents - Gary & Tina Mills ... Is majoring in business administration, with an emphasis in management ... MU's nationally-recognized School of Business, combined with the Tiger football coaching staff, were the reasons for his transferring to Mizzou ...
