2003 OUTLOOK

Solid all-around tight end talent who gives Mizzou great experience heading into the 2003 season ... Is an excellent blocker who also has solid hands when slipping out for a pass ... Missed most of the spring due to knee injury suffered in 2002 season finale versus Kansas State, but made a miraculous recovery in time to be cleared for full contact by the end of the spring session.

2002 SEASON

Split time with senior Ben Fredrickson, but saw action in all 12 games, and started 5 times ... Nearly tripled his career reception total coming into the year, as he grabbed a career-best 8 passes for 58 yards and his first career TD ... Four of his 8 catches went for Tiger first downs ... Was named team co-offensive player of the week 5 times during the year, winning the honor for outings against Troy State, Nebraska, Iowa State, Colorado and Texas A&M ... Scoring grab came on a nice diving grab in the back of the endzone at Iowa State on a reverse pass from wide receiver Justin Gage ... That 1st-quarter score pulled Mizzou to within 10-7 at the time ... Became more of a weapon later in the season, as he caught 6 of his 8 passes in games 9-10-11 ... Caught 2 balls apiece in consecutive games against Iowa State (2 catches for 14 yards and 1 TD), Colorado (2 for 16) and Texas A&M (2 for 16).

2001 SEASON

Saw action in all 11 games either at tight end or on special teams ... Recorded his only catch of the season against Baylor, good for an 8-yard gain ... Named the team’s “Most Improved” tight end in the 2001 spring season.

2000 SEASON

Appeared in all 11 games at tight end and on special teams ... Made his first career start on Homecoming vs. Kansas and caught a 12-yard pass on the first play of the game for his first career reception ... His second reception was against Colorado, good for 10 yards.
