    One of the nation's most electrifying players who could be the most dynamic threat around ... Proved in his first year that he had to be accounted for in the run game, and the passing game, as well as punt returns and kickoff returns, as he was the only player in the nation to score in each of those four categories in 2007 ... Tallied 2,776 all-purpose yards, which was an NCAA Division I-A single-season freshman record, and was the fifth-most ever by any player in a season in Division I-A history ... Became the first MU freshman to win consensus first-team All-American honors, as he was chosen by a majority of the prominent All-American teams for the all-purpose designation ... Was the only player in the nation to record touchdowns via receiving (9), rushing (4), punt return (2) and kickoff return (1) ... His kickoff return, which went for 99 yards at Kansas State, was of the historic variety, as it was MU's first kickoff return for a TD since 1982 - breaking a string of 287 games and 976 kickoff returns without a TD for the Tigers ... Set a school record with 360 all-purpose yards against Kansas State, scoring three TDs in the game ... Had a career-best nine catches for 143 yards receiving, scoring two TDs (eight yards and 44 yards) ...Had 209 returns yards, including the 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown ... His 360 all-purpose yards put his running season total to 2,309 for the year, setting a new NCAA freshman single-season mark ... Actually broke the NCAA freshman mark on the 99-yard return ... Totaled 204 all-purpose yards against Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship ... Was the team's leading rusher (40 yards on four carries) and had 69 yards on eight receptions against OU ... Completed his first career pass to Martin Rucker on a two-point conversion against the Sooners ... Led the team with 1,055 receiving yards on the year ... Ranked 18th nationally with an average of 12.28 yards per punt return ... Was 6th in the Big 12 in receiving yards per game (75.36 ypg.) ... Led the Big 12 and was 7th nationally with an average of 198.29 all-purpose yards per game ...Had a team-leading 16 touchdowns on the year ... Was second on the team and first among non-kickers with 96 points scored ... Was also the team's second-leading rusher with 375 yards on the ground and averaged 7.4 yards per carry.

    2006 SEASON
    Came to Columbia during the summer to get a jump on his acclimation period, and by all accounts was on his way to likely earning playing time as a true freshman, before a knee injury suffered in 7-on-7 passing drills in July sidelined him for the year ... Showed a very determined work ethic during the rehab process, and was cleared to practice with the team before the end of the season.

    HIGH SCHOOL
    An outstanding two-sport athlete who was considered the top wide receiver, and one of the top overall prospects to come out of the state of Missouri in 2006 ... Was a star wideout, safety and punt returner for Kirkwood ... Ranked as the nation's No. 24 wide receiver prospect by Rivals, and was listed as the No. 3 overall prospect in Missouri by the same outlet ... Earned 1st-Team All-State honors as a wideout in 2005, after catching 41 passes for 1,042 yards and 11 TDs, averaging an impressive 25.4 yards per catch ... Also carried the ball 36 times for 293 yards and 4 TDs, and added 2 TDs throwing the ball ... Proved to be a dangerous return man, as he took 11 punts back for an average of 24.6 yards per return, with 1 going for a TD ... Also named All-Conference as a safety, as he notched 55 tackles, and added 4 interceptions, including 1 that he returned for a TD ... Earned 1st-Team All-State honors as a junior wideout, as well, as he caught 58 passes for 1,184 yards and 18 TDS, while rushing for 2 TDs and also returning 1 kickoff for a score ... Added 59 tackles and 6 interceptions on defense as a junior ... Named 2nd-Team All-Conference as a sophomore wideout and return specialist - caught 33 passes for 356 yards and 4 TDs, and averaged 25 yards per punt return (1 TD) and 30 yards per kickoff return that year ... Was also a standout on the hardwood, as he averaged 11 points, 4 assists and 2.5 steals per game for Kirkwood's basketball team ... Was an honorable-mention All-State and 1st-Team All-Conference guard as a junior, averaging 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals per game ... High school coach - Larry Frost.
