Veteran defensive end who is an inspiration to the program, as he's returned to play after a battle with cancer caused him to miss most of the 2004 season ... Enters the spring season listed at No. 4 on the depth chart at one defensive end position ... Has proven to be a fearless competitor who's not afraid to mix it up in the trenches.
Missed most of the season as he was getting treated after being diagnosed with cancer ... Despite his physical condition, still came out to practice often to support his teammates, and his strong demeanor and spirit helped him get cleared to practice late in the year ... Earned the team's outstanding underclassman leadership award for his courage in overcoming his obstacles.
Worked hard on the defensive scout team ... Recovered a fumble late in the 2003 spring game that helped the defense post a come-from-behind 34-28 win ... Named scout team MVP in preparation for Kansas game.
Did not see action during the season ... Was twice named defensive scout team player of the week, for his efforts in preparation for games against Troy State and Texas A&M.
Redshirt year ... Spent the season working hard on the defensive scout team.
Four-year letterwinner and a three-year starter for Farmington High School ... Was tabbed team MVP in 2000 and was a unanimous all-conference choice on both offense and defense ...
