2013 OUTLOOK
Big-play receiver who will look to battle for a starting spot at the H-receiver position, where he begins spring ball listed second on the depth chart ... Came on strong late in the 2012 season and he enters the 2013 campaign with four career receiving TDs in just 12 career catches, in addition to a kickoff return for a score.
2012 SEASON
Provided a big impact for the Tiger receiving corps, as he had three receiving TDs in just 11 total receptions on the season, while he also returned a kickoff for an 87-yard touchdown to help key a win at Tennessee ... Saw action in all 12 games and ended with 11 receptions overall for 199 yards and the three TDs, in addition to carrying the ball four times for 28 yards total ... Touched the ball just twice in the Tigers' 51-48, four overtime win at Tennessee, but both were huge plays as he totaled 111 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns ... Scored the Tigers' first touchdown of the game in the first quarter as he returned a short kick 87 yards for a touchdown; the play is worth noting because Tennessee tried to kick away from dangerous return man Marcus Murphy and Hunt still made them pay ... He also caught a 24-yard touchdown pass from James Franklin on the second play of the first overtime to put the Tigers on top, 35-28 ... Caught two passes in the first game of the year, highlighted with a 10-yard touchdown reception from QB Corbin Berkstresser in the third quarter against SE Louisiana ... He also added a 33-yard reception early in the fourth ... Hauled in two passes for 34 yards against South Carolina ... Hauled in one pass for a 22-yard gain against Vanderbilt ... Showed glimpses of big-play ability in the spring, and he spring camp with a bang, as he caught 3 passes for a team-best 110 yards and 1 TD in the Black & Gold Game ... He took his first catch of the day 88 yards for a score, with the yardage matching his jersey number.
2011 SEASON
Saw action in 11 games during his redshirt freshman season ... Had one reception on the year, but made it count as it was a 54-yard TD against Western Illinois, the first of his career ... Caught the TD pass from QB Jimmy Costello ... Returned four kickoffs for 58 yards, including a long of 21 ... Also had four tackles on the year playing on special teams ... Tackles came against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Kansas...
2010 SEASON
Ended up taking a redshirt in his first season as a Tiger, but he was impressive enough during August two-a-days to where it looked like he might play as a true freshman ... An ankle injury sustained early on in fall camp held him back though, and coaches decided to give him a year to fully develop and preserve a redshirt ... Won the team's offensive back-up player of the week award for his outstanding efforts during the week of the Kansas State game.
HIGH SCHOOL
An outstanding athletic talent who excelled on both sides of the ball for his school ... Made his mark mostly as a safety on defense and a wide receiver on offense, but he also played some cornerback, linebacker and running back, in addition to holding for place kicks and returning kicks and punts, and he even punted on occasion ... Ranked by Tom Lemming as the nation's No. 23 safety prospect ... Rivals.com ranked him as the No. 7 prospect at any position in the state of Illinois, and projected him as the nation's No. 43 wide receiver prospect as well ... A three-time team captain who was his squad's most outstanding player each of the last two seasons, in addition to being named to various All-State squads as both a junior and senior ... Led his team in 2009 with 94 tackles, to go along with 3 interceptions and a pair of fumble recoveries, while catching 36 passes for 640 yards and 13 TDs on offense ... Team won 9 games in 2009 and reached the state playoffs ... Caught eight passes for 126 yards and one touchdown in the playoff opener, while also running in a pair of two-point conversions in his team's 30-0 win ... Had 93 tackles and 10 quarterback sacks as a junior in 2008, while catching 35 passes for 905 yards and 11 TDs on offense for a team which reached the state semi-finals ... Also competed in basketball and track and field at the prep level ... High school coach - Antwyne Golliday.
