Athletic and tough-minded offensive line prospect who will work to move up the depth chart in his first set of spring drills ... Has the ability to help the line depth at numerous positions ... Enters 2007 spring camp listed at No. 3 on the depth chart at the center position.


Redshirted in his first season in the program, working as part of the practice squad.


Transferred to Ardmore in the middle of his junior year, after starting his prep career at Lone Grove, Texas ... Earned All-District honors as an offensive lineman as a senior as he registered 35 pancake blocks and graded out at 90 percent or better in each game ... Also played on the defensive line and had 20 tackles, 2 QB sacks, forced 5 fumbles and recovered 4 fumbles ... Played on the defensive line and as a tight end his first 3 years of prep career ... As a junior in 2005, had 89 tackles, 11 QB sacks, 43 tackles for loss, and added 5 catches for 113 yards ... Sophomore season saw him record 74 tackles, 14 QB sacks, 47 tackles for loss and 4 catches for 130 yards ... Is an accomplished wrestler who made the Oklahoma Greco/Freestyle national team ... High school coach - Mike Loyd ...


Mother - Teresa Hernandez ... Is an avid weightlifter who took 3rd place in a state powerlifting competition as a sophomore, competing against 6 seniors ... Also has won 2 "toughman" competitions ... Is interested in studying communications at Mizzou ... Chose Mizzou over Miami, Fla., Oklahoma, Tulsa and Baylor, among others ... Primary Mizzou recruiter - Dave Christensen.
