2000: Worked at getting bigger and better for the Tigers ... spent much of the season as a scout-team member ... earned offensive scout-team “Player of the Week” vs. Texas … saw his first action in the season opener vs. Western Illinois … got into his first Big 12 Conference game at Baylor.
1999: Spent most of the year on the offensive scout-team improving his skills as an offensive lineman ... earned offensive scout-team “Player of the Week” during preparation for Colorado.

HIGH SCHOOL: All-state offensive lineman for Jackson High School, who went 11-1 in 1997 and ranked sixth in Missouri Class 5A ... earned all-conference and all-district honors on both sides of the ball and was the Southeast Missouri “Lineman of the Year” ... also recruited by Iowa, Illinois, Kansas and Arkansas State ... also lettered in wrestling and track.
