2008 SEASON One of the most pleasant developments of the 2008 season for the Tigers, as he went from No. 2 on the depth chart to start fall camp at left tackle, to being named a 1st-Team Freshman All-American ... Won the starting job in fall camp protecting the blind side of Hesiman hopeful QB Chase Daniel, despite never having played a snap in college ... Fought off the nerves in his opening game against Illinois and played very well all throughout the year, and was named the team's freshman of the year after starting all 14 games at left tackle ... Helped guide the Tiger offense to the most prolific statistical year in school history, as Mizzou ranked in the top 10 of NCAA national categories for passing offense (4th - 330.36 ypg), scoring offense (6th - 42.21 ppg), total offense (8th - 484.14 ypg) and passing efficiency (10th - 157.84 rating) ... Mizzou's line also ranked 16th in the NCAA in fewest sacks allowed per game (1.21), despite throwing the ball 565 times in 14 games ...
