2004 OUTLOOK

All-Big 12 defensive line candidate who should be even more disruptive for opponents in his second year playing inside ... Has size, strength, quickness and outstanding athletic ability at the tackle position ... Teams with fellow returnee C.J. Mosley to give Mizzou one of the more formidable tackle tandems in the Big 12 Conference ... Capped off an outstanding spring period in the final scrimmage when he took an interception and returned it 47 yards for touchdown ... Was voted a team captain by his teammates during the spring period.

2003 SEASON

Moved to the interior of the defensive line after playing end in 2002, and his production improved quite noticeably ... Named 3rd-Team All-Big 12 by league coaches after totaling 72 tackles on the year, including 14 for loss (48 yards) and 4 QB sacks (30 yards) ... Forced 2 fumbles on the year, including one each in MU's last 2 regular-season games ... His forced fumble at Kansas State came with the Wildcats backed up inside their 5-yardline, and it was recovered by teammate Brandon Barnes to set up MU's first score of the night ... Made another big momentum play the next time out against Iowa State, when he chased down ISU's Waye Terry for a sack of 8 yards, popping the ball loose from behind ... The fumble was picked up by teammate Xzavie Jackson and returned down to the ISU 4-yardline, where MU punched it in to take a 24-7 lead early in the 3rd quarter ... His 72 tackles ranked 6th on the team, after ranking 12th in 2002 with 41 stops playing end ... Was MU's defensive standout at #19 Kansas State, as he racked up a career-best 15 tackles on the night ... Followed by recording 8 stops in the regular-season finale vs. Iowa State ... Had 5 tackles vs. then-#1 Oklahoma, including a 1-yard sack of QB Jason White ... Also broke up 2 passes on the night against the Sooners, as MU's defense held OU to nearly 2 touchdowns under its scoring average.

2002 SEASON

A pleasant addition to the Tiger defense who ended up making a nice impact in his first year at MU ... Played in all 12 games at defensive end, and started 9 of the Tigers' first 10 games ... Amassed 41 tackles on the season, and was 4th on the squad with 5 QB hurries ... Had a season-high 7 tackles and added a QB hurry in the opener vs. Illinois as the Tigers defeated the defending Big Ten champions in his hometown of St. Louis ... Earned team defensive player of the week honors for the Illinois game ... Made a big play at Iowa State when he recovered a fumble that led to a Tiger first-half TD ... Ended the season with a 6-tackle outing vs. Kansas State, including a season-high 4 unassisted stops.

Spent 2 years at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas where he starred on the defensive line ... Made 57 tackles, tying for 5th on the team, and racked up 5 quarterback sacks in 10 games during the 2001 season.
