Took a redshirt season in his first year in the Tiger program, and made good impressions for his efforts as part of the defensive scout team ... Was honored with the team's defensive back-up player of the week award during preparations for the game against Nebraska.

Made his mark at the prep level playing at defensive back and linebacker and also serving as a standout on kickoff and punt coverage units, where he showed a fearless mentality, great speed and a natural athleticism ...
