Former walk-on who decided to rejoin the team for his fifth year of eligibility, after initially deciding to forego it ... Was recognized as part of the 2010 senior class in MU's Senior Day game last season, but he'll have one more year with the team after reconsidering ... Has a strong right arm, and has drawn rave reviews in the past from Coach Pinkel for his improvement ... Is expected to provide some good competition and leadership, as well as push a young group of quarterbacks for playing time ... In a demonstration of his arm strength, one day after practice a few seasons ago, won an impromptu competition between MU's quarterbacks (including Chase Daniel and Chase Patton) that involved standing in the south endzone at Memorial Stadium, and throwing the ball completely over the south stands and out of the stadium (he was the only one who achieved the feat).
Did not see action during the year, but still provided invaluable contributions throughout the year as a veteran leader ... Completed 6-of-12 passes in the 2010 Black & Gold Spring Game for 57 yards to close spring ball.
Earned the No. 2 quarterback job in the summer, and did an outstanding job of getting himself ready to play all throughout the season ... Played in three games for the Tigers, seeing his first-ever collegiate snaps ... Saw first action in season opener against Illinois, completing 1-of-2 passes ... Was 5-for-9 passing for 33 yards against Furman ... Completed 3-of-6 passes against Texas for 25 yards, including a season-long completion of 16 yards ... Completed 10-of-21 passes in the spring game for 70 yards, and scored the only touchdown of the game on a one-yard keeper.
Worked hard as part of the offensive scout team, drawing rave reviews for his efforts ... Won the team's Back Up Player of the Week Award for his efforts during game preparations leading up games against Buffalo and Kansas ... Completed one pass for 12 yards in the annual Black & Gold Spring Game in April.
Joined the squad as a walk-on and did an admirable job of helping the Tiger defense prepare each week in practice, as he assisted by running the scout team offense.
Was a two-sport standout at Liberty High School in the Kansas City area, in both the sports of football and golf ... Passed for 1,700 yards with 18 touchdowns, while adding 10 rushing TDs, as a senior in 2006 to earn all-conference honors ... Junior season numbers included 1,500 passing yards and 15 TDs, with all-conference accolades again ... Was also an all-conference and all-district performer in the sport of golf at Liberty ... High school coach - Pat Hansen.
