2011 SEASON

Played in 12 games and earned a start against Arizona State on Sept. 9 ... Ended the year with 15 total tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks on the season ... Recorded his first career sack in the season opener against MIami (Ohio) ... Also forced a fumble against the RedHawks ... Had a career day against Western Illinois with four tackles, two tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks ... 2010 SEASON

Made nice contributions in his first year of action, as he played in all 13 games and registered five tackles in all, with single stops in games versus San Diego State, Miami (Ohio), Texas Tech, Iowa State and Kansas ... Saw most of his action on special teams units, but began to see defensive snaps more and more throughout the year ... Did a great job in the classroom, as he won 1st-Team Academic All-Big 12 honors for his efforts there ... Changed his jersey number to #55 during the spring, after wearing #95 in his first year in the Tiger program.

2009 SEASON

Spent his first year in the Tiger program getting acclimated to college ball, and was able to redshirt to help further his development ... Was a valuable contributor to the defensive scout team, where he often stood out during practices for his high energy style of play.

Starred at tradition-rich Southlake (Texas) Carroll High School, which produced former record-setting Tiger quarter Chase Daniel ... Was listed by Rivals.com as the No. 22 strongside defensive end prospect in the nation, and also the No. 77 overall prospect (any position) out of the state of Texas ... Tallied 65 tackles, with 15 sacks, 3 fumble recoveries and 1 forced fumble in 2008, while scoring 2 defensive touchdowns for the Dragons ... Earned 1st-Team All-District and All-Area honors as a senior, and was also named a 2nd-Team Class 5A All-State defensive end selection ...
