Veteran upperclassman who holds down the top spot at free safety entering fall ball, after making 16 starts there (including all 12 in 2012) over the past two seasons.


Started all 12 games at free safety, and quietly put together a very solid season, with his career-best 64 tackles ranking 6th-best on the team ... Added 1.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery as well ... Had his biggest games against Central Florida and Texas A&M, as he made nine tackles in each contest ... Had six solo stops in the season finale against the Aggies, and was credited with a half-tackle for loss in that game as well ... Added eight tackles in MU's epic four-overtime win at Tennessee, including a tackle for loss ... Added seven tackles (five solo) against eventual BCS champion Alabama ... Had four or more tackles in 9-of-12 games in all ... Recorded four tackles against Arizona State and recovered a fumble as well ... Notched six tackles against Georgia, five at South Carolina and four at Florida.


Provided a nice impact for the defense despite his youth, and earned hon. men. All-Big 12 honors while making 36 tackles and forcing a fumble in 11 games (4 starts) ... Also won the team's freshman-of-the-year award for his play ... Had a career high 12 tackles against Texas A&M ... Also had four tackles against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Baylor ... Recovered a fumble against Baylor...


Redshirted in his first season in the program, and displayed that he's got an ability to be a solid contributor in years to come ... Won the team's defensive back-up player of the week for his efforts in practice leading up to the team's big win at Texas A&M.


An explosive athlete who was a standout on both sides of the ball ... Comes from one of the most successful programs in Texas prep football, as Gilmer won the state championship in 2009, going a perfect 15-0, and finished as runners-up during his sophomore season of 2007 ... Ranked by as the nation's No. 66 safety prospect ... Named the Defensive Most Valuable Player of his district as a senior in 2009, and was an all-state pick by various outlets each of his final two years ... Had 122 tackles as a senior, and added 7 pass break ups, 3 forced fumbles, 1 interception and a fumble recovery ... Scored a rushing touchdown in his team's state championship win ... As a junior in 2008, recorded 68 tackles, 5 quarterback sacks, and added 4 interceptions and a pair of fumble recoveries ... High school coach - Jeff Traylor ... Hails from the same high school as fellow 2010 Mizzou signee Tristen Holt (they are cousins).
