As team captain as a junior in 2001, was the teams defensive MVP after amassing 87 tackles and returning one interception for a TD
Recorded 98 tackles with 5 sacks as a sophomore in 2000 and turned in 54 tackles with 8 sacks as a freshman in 1999
Was named teams defensive newcomer of the year in 1999 and was a 1st-team all-conference performer in 1999 and 2000
Was named a sophomore All-American linebacker by USAfootball.com as a sophomore
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a multi-sport athlete at Hermann High School, where he lettered in football, basketball, track and field and golf
Earned 1st-team all-conference honors at both running back and linebacker as a senior, and was also a 1st-team all-district and honorable mention all-metro performer at running back after rushing for 1,105 yards and 16 TDs
Also added 111 tackles on the other side of the ball as a senior in 1999
