Moved to the outside during the spring practice period - after playing inside a year ago - but entered fall camp listed third on the depth chart at the tackle position ... Had 2 tackles in the spring game playing at end ... Can also serve as a long snapper ... Suffered a stress fracture in his right foot during off-season workouts, but was cleared for full practice during the spring period ... Is a workout warrior who has added 30 pounds to his frame since joining the Tiger program ... Was part of the winning squad in the football team's annual spring 3-on-3 basketball tournament, along with Tommy Saunders and Austin Huff.

Athletic sophomore who moved to the defensive line in the spring, after spending his first two years in the program at tight end ... Played in all 12 games during the season, primarily on special teams, where he was a valuable member of the interior line for blocking ... Made strides during the spring, despite his limited time at the position.

Saw action in 1 game as a redshirt freshman tight end, getting in for the tail end of the Ball State game ... Caught 1 pass for 5 yards in the annual Black and Gold Game to close the spring.

Redshirted during his first year at Mizzou, and practiced each day with the Tiger scout team.

An all-state performer at tight end who helped lead his team to consecutive Kansas state championships ... Named an All-American in 2002 by The Sporting News, by Prep Star Magazine, by Student Sports Magazine, and was also named the Gatorade Kansas Player of the Year ... Was also a Gatorade National Player of the Year Finalist ... Rivals.com ranks him as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Kansas (all positions), and as the No. 9 tight end in the country, and the No. 40 prospect in the Midlands (all positions) ... MoKan Football rates him as the top overall prospect in Kansas ... Ranked as the No. 41 overall prospect (all positions) in the Midland region by SuperPrep Magazine ... Also excelled at defensive end throughout his prep career ... Moved to tight end for senior season, after spending the majority of his time prior to that as a blocking back in Conway Springs' single wing offensive set ... For his career, caught 39 passes for 419 yards and 9 TDs, while carrying the ball 4 times for 107 yards and 2 TDs ... As a defensive end and linebacker, amassed 125 tackles in his career, and added 4 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries and 2 interceptions (including one returned for a TD) ... His teams compiled an impressive four-year record of 42-3, including back-to-back 13-0 and 14-0 seasons in 2001 and 2002, respectively ... Was also an all-league performer in basketball, and a state qualifier in track ... High school coach - Mark Bliss.
