Columbia, Mo. - Marshall Brown, a 6-7, 205-pound small forward from Austin, Texas, has made it known that he will be a Tiger, signing a national letter of intent to attend the University of Missouri next fall, Head Men's Basketball Coach Quin Snyder announced on Friday. Brown is the second member of the class from the state of Texas along with Dallas area standout Jason Horton.

"Marshall is a phenomenal young man," Snyder said. "He is a quiet leader out on the court and he lets athleticism do the talking. He is an extremely observant player and uses that to his advantage when matching up with an opponent. Marshall can score and can also be a solid defender. We believe he has a great upside in the future."

Brown is definitely a talented scorer and all-around player. He averaged 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists as a junior at Johnson High last year under the tutelage of Freddie Roland. He is ranked as the No. 9 small forward and the No. 54 player in the country overall by RivalHoops.com, while garnering a No. 45 ranking from PrepStars.com. He chose Mizzou over Oklahoma, Kentucky, UCLA and Oregon.
