Columbia, Mo. - Missouri junior guard Zaire Taylor was named the Nation's No. 2 Impact Transfer by Rivals.com on Thursday.

A transfer from the University of Delaware, Taylor scored 15 point on 6-of-8 shooting in Wednesday night's Black & Gold Game and helped Mizzou Black to a 110-84 win over Mizzou Gold.

The 6-foot-4 guard also dished five assists, grabbed five boards and recorded three steals and scored his 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor.

Taylor is the second Tiger in as many years to make the Rivals.com preseason Top Transfer list. DeMarre Carroll was named the NCAA's No. 1 Impact Transfer by the organization in 2007 and later went on to win Big 12 Conference Newcomer of the Year accolades after averaging 13.0 points and a team-leading 6.7 rebounds for the club.

A product of Curtis High School out of Staten Island, N.Y., Taylor starred for Missouri during its recent exhibition tour in Niagara Falls, Ontario, over Labor Day weekend. Taylor made three starts and led the squad with 6.0 steals per game. He also averaged 9.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in all three Tiger victories.

Missouri returns to action on Nov. 6 against Lincoln University in the exhibition-opener. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.
