> Missouri begins its 108th season of basketball on Friday (Oct. 25) night as the Tigers host Oklahoma City University in the exhibition opener for both clubs ... The game will be played at Hearnes Center in a special throwback contest at 7 p.m.
> Prior to the game, Mizzou will honor the 1993-94 Missouri Basketball team ... That club, led by College Basketball Hall of Famer, Norm Stewart, and All-American Melvin Booker, finished 14-0 in the Big Eight Conference and won Stewart's eighth regular-season league title as Mizzou's head coach.
> Parking and tickets to the throwback game will be free to all fans ... Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and seating in sections B, C and D are open (first come, first serve) ... Fans are encouraged to arrive early ... The 1993-94 team will be signing autographs on the main concourse of Hearnes Center from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
> Missouri is playing its first game at Hearnes Center (1972-04) since the 2003-04 season ... Mizzou was outstanding at Hearnes over the years, accumulating a 405-72 (.849) record in the facility ... With Frank Haith's 33-1 mark at Mizzou Arena over the last two seasons the Tigers now sport a 137-21 (.867) record in their new home since the building opened in 2004-05 ... Mizzou is also 84-4 at home since 2008-09, an incredible .955 winning percentage.
> Missouri was also a perfect 17-0 at home last season and owns an 18-game homecourt winning streak dating back to the final home game of 2011-12 ... That winning streak ranks No. 4 nationally ... South Dakota State owns the longest active home winning streak at 30 games heading into the 2013-14 season.
> Non-conference opponents have not enjoyed their stops in Columbia, Mo., over the last few seasons and the Tigers have raced to an incredible 73 consecutive wins at home vs. non-league opposition since the end of the 2005-06 campaign ... Missouri's last non-conference loss at home came vs. Sam Houston State in the 2005 Preseason NIT, but since then Missouri has gone nearly seven full seasons without a loss.
> Friday's game will be the exhibition debut for several new Tigers ... Jordan Clarkson sat out the 2012-13 season as a transfer from the University of Tulsa and will be slotted to be the team's new point guard ... Clarkson will get assistance at the point from another pair of newcomers, freshmen Wes Clark and Shane Rector ... Other newcomers in the paint this year include junior college transfer Keanau Post, Johnathan Williams, III and Torren Jones ... Post and Williams have been competing for starting nods, while Jones will instantly add bulk and toughness to the front line.
> While Haith and his staff have been outstanding at revamping Mizzou's roster, the Tigers will look to replace 63 percent of its points, 65 percent of its rebounds and 76 percent of its assists from last season's 23-11 campaign.
> Missouri does return a pair of double-figure scorers this season, Jabari Brown (13.7) and Earnest Ross (10.3) ... Its just the second time since 2003 that the Tigers return two players that averaged double figures the previous season, along with the same head coach.

> Missouri Basketball opens its 2013-14 season on Friday night when the Tigers host Oklahoma City University at Hearnes Center at 7 p.m.
> Tickets and parking to the game are free and special commemorative tickets will be handed out at the door ... Once the tickets are gone, the game will be sold out!
> It's the 102nd Homecoming week at Mizzou ... In addition to Friday's game vs. Oklahoma City, the No. 5 Mizzou Football team will be in action against No. 20 South Carolina ... Head Coach Gary Pinkel's club will be looking for an 8-0 start to the year.
> One more undefeated shout out for Wayne Kreklow's volleyball team (23-0) ... Hearnes Center is the home to Tiger Volleyball ... Kreklow's club is ranked No. 11 nationally.
> Head Coach Frank Haith begins his third season at Missouri and will look to lead the Tigers to their third consecutive 20-win campaign ... Only Norm Stewart, Quin Snyder and Mike Anderson have enjoyed three 20-win seasons at Mizzou ... Stewart of course led the way with 17 20-win campaigns ... Snyder and Anderson each had three ... Haith will coach both exhibition games this season and will resume his coaching duties Nov. 28 vs. Northwestern at the Las Vegas Invitational.
> Exhibition games can be dangerous, but Missouri has done a good job of handling its business in the preseason ... Since the 2006-07 season Missouri is 15-0 in exhibition games and is averaging a 39.5 ppg margin of victory ... Under Haith, that winning margin is an outstanding 32.4 points per game.
> Friday's game will be the first time competing in Hearnes Center for each of Missouri's 14 (available) players ... Head Coach Frank Haith was an assistant coach at Texas from 2001-04 and was 2-0 inside Hearnes with the Longhorns ... Both games between the Tigers and Longhorns were close ... UT won 72-70 in 2002 and 75-69 in overtime in 2004 .... Rickey Paulding and Kareem Rush each led Mizzou with 16 points and seven rebounds, while T.J. Ford scored 18 points and dished 12 assists in 2002 ... In 2004 Brian Boddicker hit a three-pointer with just five seconds remaining to help No. 14 Texas force overtime and eventually knock off Mizzou ... Paulding had 20 in that contest for the Tigers.
> Mizzou Basketball will look to extend its 18-game home court winning streak at Mizzou Arena this season ... The Tigers have not lost at home since the 2011-12 season and Frank Haith is 33-1 on his home court.
> Mizzou Arena has been the site of two undefeated home seasons in its history ... Missouri was 18-0 in 2008-09 and was 17-0 at home last season ... Hearnes Center was the home of five undefeated home campaigns (1974-75, 1980-81, 1988-89, 1989-90 and 1993-94).
> That final undefeated team at home will be honored tonight prior to tip-off.
> Missouri has been incredible at home in non-conference games the last six years ... Overall the Tigers have won 73 consecutive non-league games at Mizzou Arena and are 84-4 at home (all games) since 2008-09.
> The 2013-14 Tigers do have one public scrimmage under their belts this year, hosting the Black & Gold game on Oct. 15 ... Senior Earnest Ross scored a game-high 24 points, including the game-winning layup with 35 seconds remaining to lift Mizzou Gold to a 63-61 win.
> Jabari Brown added 15 points for the Gold, while Jordan Clarkson scored 19 and Ryan Rosburg added 16 for Mizzou Black.
> The Tigers had several standout performances from its newcomers and one fresh-faced star, Johnathan Williams, III, could be the first Tiger freshman to start a season-opener since Jason Horton in 2004-05 ... Mizzou won that opener vs. Brown (first game played at Mizzou Arena) and the point guard scored seven points and dished two assists.
> Mizzou will have two transfers sitting out this season ... Zach Price transferred from Louisville, where the 6-foot-10 forward was a member of the Cardinals' NCAA National Championship team ... Deuce Bello transferred from Baylor ... Both will be classified as redshirt juniors next season.
> Mizzou will be on national television a school-record 20 times this season ... That number has grown each of Mizzou's two years in the SEC ... The Tigers were on national TV 18 times last season, which was also a school record.
> Missouri Basketball returns to Kansas City on Nov. 16 to face Hawaii ... It's Mizzou's first trip to Sprint Center since winning the 2012 Big 12 Championship, it's final as a member of the conference ... Missouri has won five consecutive games at Sprint Center overall.
