Columbia, Mo. - Missouri Basketball returned to the practice floor on Saturday morning after going through a two-plus hour workout Friday night. The first of two workouts on Saturday convened at 9 a.m. on the main floor of Mizzou Arena and saw the club begin installing its highly-effective motion offense.

Of course last season Missouri ranked among national leaders in scoring at 81.5 points per game and was the top team nationally in assists at 18.4 dimes per game. With the return of starting guards Zaire Taylor and National Defensive Player of the Year candidate J.T. Tiller, Missouri should be a fluid offensive group once again in 2009-10.

One area the Tigers will look to evolve is in the front court, where players such as Keith Ramsey, Justin Safford, Laurence Bowers and Steve Moore will step into more-involved roles. Newcomers John Underwood and Tyler Stone accent the MU depth as they begin their college careers.

MUTigers.com caught up with one of those forwards, Memphis native Laurence Bowers to ask him about the start of practices and his excitement for the start of a new year.
