Kleiza, Lithuania Fall To Australia In Final Game of Pool A Play

Beijing, China - Former Missouri Basketball standout Linas Kleiza and the Lithuanian National Team suffered their first defeat of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, as they fell to Australia 106-75 in the final contest of pool play.

Kleiza scored 12 points and grabbed five boards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the play of Andrew Bogut and the Aussies. Bogut poured in a game-high 23 points on 10-of-12 shooting, including a 3-of-3 effort from behind the three-point stripe. Overall Australia had six total players reach double figures in the game, as they improved to 3-2 in pool play.

Lithuania finished 4-1 in Pool A action, tied with Argentina. Lithuania does earn the Pool A title however after knocking off Argentina in the opening game of pool play.

Lithuania will face China in the first game of the medal rounds.
