Columbia, Mo. - Missouri Basketball will play a school record 13 national television games in league play this season as the Southeastern Conference released its complete league slate on Friday.
The Tigers will play their first SEC contest at home vs. Alabama on Jan. 8 on ESPN. The Tuesday night contest is slated for 6 p.m. and overall Missouri has 11 games appearing on the primary ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU). The team also has nationally-televised games at Ole Miss on Fox Sports Net and vs. Ole Miss at home on CBS Sports. Remaining games will be televised by the SEC Network. Television listings throughout the state for the SEC Network will be available at a later date.
Games at Texas A&M (Feb. 7), at Arkansas (Feb. 16), at South Carolina (Feb. 28) and at Tennessee (March 9) will be aired on either ESPN or ESPN2. Those (flex) TV channel assignments will be made during the season.
As mentioned, the 13 national TV games is a new school record. The previous mark of 11 national TV league games was set last season.
