Thomas Gardner will play with the Toronto Raptors this summer

Columbia, Mo. - Former University of Missouri standout Thomas Gardner will play in the 2008 NBA Summer League presented by EA Sports with the Toronto Raptors the organization announced on Monday.
Gardner was named one of 11 members to the Raptors' summer league roster, which includes former Oklahoma State standouts Joey Graham and John Lucas III.
Toronto will play five games at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the Campus of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, July 12-19. The Raptors will open with Sacramento on July 12 at 2 p.m. (CT). The team is also scheduled to face Denver (July 14), Philadelphia (July 17), Los Angeles Lakers (July 18) and Golden State (July 19).
Gardner got his first taste of NBA action last season with the Chicago Bulls. Gardner played in four regular-season games with the Bulls, averaging 5.3 points and 1.0 rebounds in 11.3 minutes per game.
A native of Portland, Ore., Gardner was a three-year letterwinner for the Tigers and finished his career 33rd on Missouri's all-time scoring list with 1,067 career points. Gardner started 57 career games as a Tiger and ranks No. 4 all-time with 94 three-point makes during the 2005-06 campaign.
