Columbia, Mo. - Mizzou Basketball will be well represented at some of the nation's top skills academies this summer as Michael Dixon, Flip Pressey and newcomer Jordan Clarkson have been selected to participate in three of the this year's top instructional events.

Dixon and Pressey have each been tabbed as instructors at the Chris Paul Elite Point Guard (June 8-11) and Deron Williams Skills Academy (June 21-23) camps, while Clarkson, a transfer from Tulsa, has been invited to Kevin Durant's Skills Academy (June 24-26).

Few point guard tandems were more dynamic than Dixon and Pressey last season. Just a sophomore in 2011-12, Pressey led the Big 12 Conference in assists and steals, dishing a school record 223 dimes, coupled with 74 thefts. Dixon was the Big 12's top Sixth Man last season as a junior, but played "starter" minutes averaging 13.5 points and 3.3 assists, to go with 49 percent shooting from the floor.

The Chris Paul Elite Point Guard Camp is an invitation-only opportunity for the nation's top high school and collegiate guards. It will be held June 8-11 in Winston-Salem, N.C. Former Tiger Marcus Denmon participated in the event last summer and Pressey was part of the camp while in high school.

"What a great complement to these young men and their work to become the best at their positions," Head Coach Frank Haith said. "It's a great opportunity for them to get out and showcase their abilities and also communicate what they have learned with some of the game's future stars. A big part of basketball is giving back to the younger players and that keeps the future of this game very bright."

The Williams Skills Academy (June 21-23) will be held in Chicago and is for college basketball's Top 10 point guards and the Top 15-20 high school point guards.

The Durant Skills Academy (geared towards the top wings in high school and college basketball) will be held June 24-26 in Chicago and along with the Williams Skills Academy, is part of the Nike EYB Skills Academy series.
