Columbia, Mo. - Finals Week is just a few days away and Mizzou Basketball's new Head Coach Kim Anderson and Women's Basketball Head Coach Robin Pingeton announced today that they would host a student, faculty and staff continental breakfast at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning (May 9) at "The Shack" in the MU Student Center.

The breakfast will be free to the first 150 Mizzou students, faculty and staff members.

"We just wanted to do something casual, something fun to let our campus know we appreciate all their support," Anderson said. "If you are around the MU Student Center Friday morning and headed to the library, to work or leaving the residents halls, swing by and grab something to eat before getting ready for next week's exams."

Anderson, a two-time graduate of Missouri, was named the program's 18th Head Coach last week in front of a standing-room only crowd at the Reynolds Alumni Center. He was the 1977 Big Eight Player of the Year as a senior and spent 11 seasons as an assistant coach under Hall of Famer Norm Stewart. A native of Sedalia, Anderson spent the previous 12 years at Central Missouri where he won the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship and was named the NABC National Coach of the Year.

Pingeton enters her fifth season at Missouri and has led the Tigers to back-to-back postseason appearances. Missouri has averaged 17 wins over the last two years in a very challenging SEC and has qualified for postseason play in back-to-back years for the first time since 2007.
