COLUMBIA, Mo. -Mizzou Athletics announced on Sunday evening that its basketball program has accepted a bid to play in the 2014 National Invitation Tournament. The Tigers are the No. 2 seed in the Minneapolis Region and will host No. 7-seeded Davidson on Tuesday night (March 18) at 8 p.m. The game will be televised live on ESPN2.

Tickets for Tuesday's game are on sale now. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for students. Ticket prices are set by the NCAA. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets online at MUTigers.com/buytickets. Fans and students may also purchase their tickets in the ticket trailers located on Walsworth All-America Plaza (north side of Mizzou Arena).

Parking in Lot P and Lot I will be reserved, but all other lots around Mizzou Arena will be open to the general public, free of charge. ADA accessible parking can be found in Lot I. Fans requiring this parking must have proper ADA parking identification to access these spaces.

Mizzou Basketball heads into postseason play on Tuesday as the Tigers host the Davidson Wildcats in the first round of the 2014 National Invitation Tournament ... Head Coach Frank Haith is a North Carolina native and the Tigers will be facing their second team from the Tar Heel state this year ... Mizzou won, 68-64, at NCAA Tournament at-large qualifier, North Carolina State on Dec. 28 in Raleigh ... Missouri finished the season 4-4 vs. NCAA Tournament teams and 3-4 vs. programs in the NIT ... Both UCLA and Western Michigan won their league titles and Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee advanced to the field of 68 from the league.

Jabari Brown needs just three points on Tuesday to reach 1,000 for his Tiger career ... Brown has 1,009 career points, including 12 scored in two games at Oregon in 2011-12 ... Brown is also on the cusp of averaging 20 points per game for the year ... The last Tiger to accomplish that feat was Kareem Rush in 2001 ... In addition, Head Coach Frank Haith is after his 200th career win as a head coach ... The third-year sideline boss is a very good 70-27 at Missouri and is 199-138 all-time.

Mizzou Head Coach Frank Haith has his club headed to postseason play for the third consecutive year and for the eighth time in 10 seasons as a head coach ... Haith has taken three teams to NCAA Tournament play and five others to the NIT in his coaching career ... Haith is 5-4 all-time in the NIT and had his club one win away from Madison Square Garden in 2006 and 2011 ... Haith has also faced three SEC foes in the NIT, including Florida in 2009.
