> Mizzou Basketball looks for its third consecutive win on Wednesday as the Tigers host the Vanderbilt Commodores at Mizzou Arena ... Mizzou and Vandy are tied for fifth in the current SEC standings and both clubs are just one game out of fourth place and two games out of third ... The Commodores have won four of their last six games, including a 57-54 overtime win against Texas A&M, while the Tigers are looking for three consecutive league wins before hitting the road this weekend at Alabama.
> Mizzou had one of its most balanced efforts of the season in the win over Tennessee ... Jabari Brown led the Tigers with 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting and post players Johnathan Williams, III, Torren Jones and Keanau Post combined to hit 9-of-11 field goal attempts for 22 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks in 51 minutes of playing time ... The 22 points combined from those three newcomers was a season high and helped to balance Tennessee’s forward tandem of Jarnell Stokes and Jeronne Maymon who combined for 18 points and 15 rebounds.
> Also critical for the Tigers was senior guard Earnest Ross, who had 15 points, three assists and a season-high four steals in the win over the Volunteers ... Ross hit 7-of-9 free throws and continues to rank among the SEC’s leaders in free throw makes (No. 4 with 60) and free throw percentage (No. 8 .833) through 12 league contests.

Brown has topped 20 points nine times in his last 10 games and has topped double figures in 26 consecutive games dating back to last season ... That streak is the longest active run in the SEC, tied with Alabama’s Trevor Releford.

> Brown (20.5 ppg) and Jordan Clarkson (18.7) are the fourth highest scoring tandem in college basketball this season, combining for 39.5 points per outing ... Brown and Clarkson are just behind the Auburn pair of Chris Denson (20.9) and KT Harrell (19.2) and narrowly trail VMI’s QJ Peterson (20.7) and Rodney Glasgow (19.1) and Louisiana-Lafayette’s Elfrid Payton (19.9) and Shawn Long (19.6).
> Brown will play his 51st career game at Missouri on Wednesday and is already closing in on 1,000 career points ... The junior guard has scored 854 points at Mizzou (866 counting the 12 he scored in two games at Oregon) and his career scoring average of 17.0 points would be the 10th highest in school history with at least two seasons played ... Brown sat out the first half of the 2012-13 season due to transfer rules.
