> Missouri Basketball returns home and will look to stop a three-game slide as the Tigers host Arkansas at Mizzou Arena on ESPN2 ... Missouri is hosting three straight home games over the next week, which also includes visits from Tennessee and Vanderbilt ... The visit this weekend from Tennessee will be its first to Mizzou Arena and first to Columbia since 1984 ... Reminder that Saturday's game is a Blackout ... Fans are encouraged to wear Black to the 3 p.m. contest.
> Missouri is looking for its third consecutive win over the Razorbacks ... The Tigers have not won three straight in the series since 1971 ... The club is also looking to avoid back-to-back home losses since the 2007-08 season, Mike Anderson's second at Mizzou.
> Mizzou nearly rallied from an 18-point deficit at Ole Miss on Saturday, but fell to the Rebels 91-88 ... Earnest Ross (24 points), Jordan Clarkson (23) and Jabari Brown (20) all topped 20 points in the road defeat, marking the third time this season the trio has broken the 20-point plateau in the same game ... The group also topped 20 points in games against Nevada and UCLA.
> Mizzou's tandem of Brown (20.1 ppg) and Clarkson (18.9) are the fourth highest scoring tandem in college basketball this season, combining for 39.0 points per game ... The Auburn pair of Chris Denson (20.2) and KT Harrell (19.4) are just ahead of Brown and Clarkson, as are VMI's QJ Peterson (21.1) and Rodney Glasgow (19.2) and the Louisiana-Lafayette pair of Shawn Long (20.3) and Elfrid Payton (19.7) ... Denson/Harrell and Brown/Clarkson are the top high major scoring tandems in college basketball this season.
> Speaking of Brown, has anyone in college basketball been better than the Oakland native over the last month?... The junior has topped 20 points in seven of his last eight league outings and is averaging 23.8 points on 56 percent shooting from the floor and 56 percent shooting from three-point range during that stretch ... In addition, Brown is averaging 1.4 points per field goal attempt, not including his impressive 47-of-53 shooting at the foul line.
> Brown has been especially good in the second half of games during this run, averaging 14.8 points on 59 percent shooting from the floor and 56 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
> Both Brown and Clarkson have reached double figures in all-23 games played this year, the most since Moss Point, Miss., native Melvin Booker opened the 1993-94 season with 23 consecutive double figure games ... The last Mizzou player with 24 consecutive games in double figures to open a year was Doug Smith in 1990-91 ... Smith hit double figures in all 30 games of his senior season.
> With Brown surging through league play the Tigers have three award candidates in the backcourt ... Clarkson was named to the Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 list and Earnest Ross is one of the SEC's most versatile players averaging 14.1 points and 6.5 rebounds, the top rebounding average among SEC guards ... Clarkson was one of college basketball's Top 25 players through the first half of the 2013-14 season and ranks among the SEC's leaders in scoring (18.9) and assists (3.3), which includes 12 20-point games.
> Not to be missed is the improved play of Ryan Rosburg over the last week ... Just a sophomore, Rosburg averaged 9.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in games against Florida and Ole Miss, including 11 second-half points in Oxford, the highest scoring league game of his career.
Mizzou Basketball Cliffs...
> Mizzou Basketball returns home after a pair of road games last week as the Tigers host the Arkansas Razorbacks for the 41st time in series history.
> The Missouri-Arkansas series dates back to Dec. 18, 1950, with a 54-32 Mizzou win in Columbia.
> The Tigers and Razorbacks have split 40 all-time meetings and Missouri is looking for its third consecutive win in the series ... Missouri is 11-8 vs. Arkansas at home and have won two consecutive meetings at Mizzou Arena.
> Of course Arkansas head coach Mike Anderson spent five seasons at Missouri and helped the Tigers to three consecutive NCAA Tournaments, with a Big 12 Tournament title in 2009 ... Anderson was 111-56 in his five years in Columbia.
> Missouri is hosting three consecutive conference games for the first time since 1998-99 ... The Tigers hosted Kansas State, Baylor and Texas Tech and earned three consecutive wins.
> Missouri will be presented with a promotional surfboard from representatives of the Maui Invitational during the game ... The Tigers will participate in the eight-team event next season.
> We've heard of "180" players (50% from the floor, 40% from three and 90% from the foul line), but Jabari Brown is a 190 player in SEC play so far shooting 52.3% from the floor, 51.6% from three and 87.5% from the charity stripe.
> The close game at Ole Miss last Saturday was nothing new for Missouri ... Of Mizzou's last 16 games, 15 have been decided by 10 points or less.
> Earnest Ross (24), Jordan Clarkson (23) and Jabari Brown (20) led Mizzou in the loss at Ole Miss ... Brown is second in the SEC in scoring (20.1) and he ranks No. 27 nationally in scoring overall ... He is fifth among high major conference players.
> In addition to his 20 points against at Ole Miss, Brown dished four assists and over his last two games is averaging 5.0 dimes with just one turnover.
> The last time the Tigers played at home, Brown (33) and Clarkson (28) combined 61 points against Kentucky ... It was the most at Mizzou by a pair in a regulation game since Derrick Chievous (42) and Byron Irvin (21) combined for 63 points in a 105-96 win against Virginia Tech on Dec. 16, 1987.
> Mizzou did a good job defensively the last time it faced Arkansas ... The Razorbacks were averaging 82.9 points per game on the year and an impressive 89.3 points at Bud Walton Arena, but the Tigers limited them to just 71 points, which at the time, was Arkansas' fewest this year at home ... This is becoming a trend for the Tigers ... In non-conference play the Tigers faced two of the nation's top scoring teams, West Virginia and UCLA, and held the two clubs a combined 35 points below their scoring norms ... Mizzou also held Western Michigan 10.6 points below its season scoring average, Illinois 6.5 points below its norm, N.C. State 13.0 points below its average and Long Beach State 8.3 points below its average.
> Mizzou continues to be one of the top free throw shooting teams in the SEC, both by volume and percentage of makes ... The Tigers lead the SEC with 72.2 percent shooting from the foul stripe and Mizzou's 19.1 free throw makes per game ranks No. 2 behind Kentucky (20.7) and ranks No. 28 nationally.
> Jabari Brown (115), Jordan Clarkson (102) and Earnest Ross (101) have each surpassed 100 free throw makes this year ... The Tigers haven't had three players with 100 makes in a season since 1995-96.
> Missouri has had at least one player score 20 or more points in 18-of-23 games this season and have enjoyed multiple 20-point scorers seven times, including in four of its last five games ... Jabari Brown has logged 20 points in seven of his last eight outings, including a career high 33 points in the last home game vs. Kentucky ... Brown has topped 20 points 17 times in his career and Mizzou is 13-4 in those contests ... In Brown's lone 20-point miss over the last eight games he helped account for 29 total points with his six assists (zero turnovers) at No. 3 Florida.
> The Tigers have a total of 28 20-point games this season, all coming from Clarkson (12), Brown (12) and Ross (4) ... Missouri had a player top 20 points 25 times all of last season.
> Missouri has been one of the league's better rebounding teams as well, ranking No. 3 in the SEC with a +6.2 rebounding margin ... The Tigers average 26.7 defensive boards per game, No. 3 in the SEC.
> Missouri recorded a rare ACC road win on Dec. 28 at N.C. State ... Although the Tigers haven't played many road games in ACC territory, the win in Raleigh was the second in ACC country in program history ... Mizzou won 87-73 at Maryland on Jan. 24, 1989 ... It was the club's first non-league road win since a 75-68 win at Old Dominion on Dec. 30, 2011.
> Head Coach Frank Haith will coach his 318th career game overall and is a spectacular 64-23 in three seasons at Mizzou ... Haith was the fastest coach in school history to 50 wins and has just one starter back for the second consecutive campaign.
> Haith is quickly approaching his 200th career victory ... He has 193 career wins heading into Thursday's game.
> Missouri is being led in scoring by the dynamic junior tandem of Jabari Brown (20.1 ppg) and Jordan Clarkson (18.9) ... The duo is combining for 39.0 points per game, No. 2 in the Southeastern Conference, just behind the Auburn duo of Chris Denson (20.2) and KT Harrell (19.4) ... Brown leads the SEC in scoring during league play (22.4 ppg) and Clarkson ranks No. 6 with his 18.3 points per league contest.
> The pair is one of two teammate tandems in high-major college basketball averaging 18.0+ points per game.
> Johnathan Williams, III (7.3 rpg) is on pace to become the first Tiger freshman to lead the team in rebounding since Linas Kleiza (8.4) in 2003-04 ... Williams is coming off a 12-rebound effort at Arkansas and is No. 8 in the SEC in rebounding.
> Mizzou plays in the friendly confines of Mizzou Arena where the club is 43-3 since 2011-12 and went a perfect 17-0 at home last season.
> Mizzou boasts a 147-23 (.870) record at home since the building opened in 2004-05 ... The Tigers are also 94-6 at home since 2008-09, amounting to an incredible .940 winning percentage.
> Non-conference opponents have not enjoyed their stops in Columbia, Mo., over the last few seasons and the Tigers have raced to an incredible 81 consecutive wins at home vs. non-league opposition since the end of the 2005-06 campaign ... Missouri's last non-conference loss at home came vs. Sam Houston State in the 2005 Preseason NIT, but since then, Missouri has gone nearly eight full seasons without a loss.
> That non-conference win streak is No. 2 nationally behind Duke ... Duke has won 109 consecutive non-ACC games at home.
> Jordan Clarkson recorded the first 30-point game of the SEC season on Nov. 12 and logged the 26th 30-point game during Missouri's SEC / Big 12 eras ... Clarkson needed just 18 shots to reach 31 points (12-of-18 FGs), and is one of just two Tigers during the two eras to have 30+ points, 5+ assists and zero turnovers ... Clarence Gilbert had a ridiculous 43 points, nine assists and zero turnovers vs. Iowa State in a four overtime win on Jan. 13, 2001.
> Clarkson has topped 20 points in 11 of his last 18 games ... The junior has topped 20 points 12 times in 23 games overall.
> Head Coach Frank Haith enters his third season at Missouri and will look to lead the Tigers to their third consecutive 20-win campaign ... Only Norm Stewart, Quin Snyder and Mike Anderson have enjoyed three 20-win seasons at Mizzou ... Stewart of course led the way with 17 20-win campaigns ... Snyder and Anderson each had three.
> Missouri has won at historic levels over the last five seasons ... In fact the Tigers have won 23+ games each of the last five seasons.
> The five consecutive 20-win seasons is a school record and Missouri's five consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament is the longest active streak in the Southeastern Conference.
> Mizzou Arena has been the site of two undefeated home seasons in its history ... Missouri was 18-0 in 2008-09 and was 17-0 at home last season ... Hearnes Center, the former home of Missouri Basketball, was the site of five undefeated home campaigns (1974-75, 1980-81, 1988-89, 1989-90 and 1993-94).
> Since 2006-07 (72-0) the club's margin of victory has been 25.8 points in those non-league home tilts.
> Mizzou has three transfers sitting out this season ... Zach Price transferred from Louisville, where the 6-foot-10 forward was a member of the Cardinals' NCAA National Championship team ... Deuce Bello transferred from Baylor ... Both will be classified as redshirt juniors next season ... Most recently the Tigers added Cam Biedscheid from Notre Dame at semester break.
