Mizzou Head Coach Frank Haith
On Jabari Brown's Performance...
"He played great. He was 1-for-7 from three, that doesn't concern me because I know he is going to make threes. What Jabari brings is basketball I.Q. He moves well without the ball, plays unselfish, he passes the ball and is patient. I think that is something needed on this team."

On the depth of the team...
"It is a little different for me playing that many guys. I've been on a couple of teams that played a lot of guys throughout my career. We do have guys that can play and can contribute. It allows us to play fast on offense and do some things defensively when you have that kind of depth. You can wear opponents down, so that is something we have to look at."

On playing a full game...
"I thought we came out with the necessary intensity we needed to have on both ends of the court. We played better in transition tonight. The rate we are rebounding the ball defensively, we have to get more transition baskets. We did a great job of getting them tonight."

On Laurence Bowers reaching 1,000 career points...
"He should be commended and I am very honored to have had the opportunity to coach him. The young man has really worked hard to get his game to where it is. And he will score a lot more points."

Mizzou Basketball Player Quotes
Earnest Ross, Junior Guard

On playing off the bench...
"Whether I'm starting or I'm the fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth man off the bench, I'm just here to do what my team needs. As long as we win, I'm happy."

On Jabari Brown's performance...
"Jabari is a great overall player - most people see him as a shooter, but he's a great passer, a great rebounder and great for his size (in the paint). He's a great player; he's not always looking for his shot, he's looking to get other people involved. On this team we have a lot of guys that can score the ball, so with him being a passer, it makes the team a lot more comfortable and shows how unselfish we are."

On how the team is preparing for Illinois...
"We're just preparing for that game. We have five days until that game so we're just going to be preparing up until that, practicing hard. When we hit the floor, we have to be ready to play."

Keion Bell, Senior Guard

On the balance of the team on the floor...
"Just the intensity that we brought onto the floor. We haven't been putting two halves together and we have been struggling with starting games off well, so to see the guys come ready to play and to play with intensity is something that I wanted to see in our team."

On the team's transition play...
"Getting out in transition and getting the easy buckets is something that motivates the team. When you see defense turning into offense, that sparks the team and it makes the guys want to play more defense. Seeing the defense turn into transition (opportunities) made us want to play better."

On the upcoming Bud Light Braggin' Rights game...
"I had something that was kind of a rivalry (at Pepperdine), but it was nothing to this extent. This is a different level of basketball. I've heard the guys from previous years talk about the intensity of the game and how big of a game it is, so I'm just looking forward to playing in it this year."
