Head Coach Frank Haith

Opening Statement...
"We are very pleased with the win. I thought in the first half we were not ourselves, particularly on the defensive end. I thought we had some plays there defensively in the first half in terms of technique and fundamentals, something we haven't had all year. I thought in the second half we came out and played with the energy we needed to play with and we attacked their zone and did the things we needed to do to win the game."

On Matt Pressey's performance tonight...
"I thought Matt was outstanding. Matt knows how we feel about him in terms of what he does for our team, but great teams need a guy on your team like Matt Pressey. A selfless guy that buys into his role completely and is prepared for when opportunities come to him and I think that is what he does.

On the team's lack of depth, but need to continue to play aggressive...
"We can't afford to lose anybody, but we can't afford to play timid or scared, but as I told them at halftime, we got to play like junk yard dogs with that kind of toughness and when we don't, we can get exposed, so we have to play like that."

His message to players when facing adversity early going...
"Let's focus on getting consecutive stops and increase the energy level. I think that is all we can do as coaches to get our guys going."

Ricardo Ratliffe, Forward

On the Tigers' slow start on offense...
"They're a good team, and they came out shooting well. At the end of the first half and the beginning of the second, we started to heat up from the field." Matt Pressey...
"He's really valuable to our team. He's one of our best at penetrating, and he frees up the post. He looks
shooter." On preparing for tougher competition in upcoming game... "Coach challenged us to stay focused and not listen to outside hype. We want to work hard in practice and play focused in every game, no matter who the opponent is."

Matt Pressey, Guard

On a hard foul he took early in the first half...
"I hit my head on the ground. I was a little shook up at first, but I've recovered now." On his shooting tonight...
"I take the same approach to every game, and the coaches have confidence in me. I just took the open looks I got tonight. I just keep doing what I do, and I score when I get opportunities." On his and Michael Dixon's production tonight...
"On any given night, we have so many scorers who can put in 17 points or so." On how the Tigers' defense ignited their offense
"Coach told us that in this league and in this country, you're not going to win unless you get stops. We take it in short segments of four and eight minutes, and if we continue to do that, we'll be better off."

Michael Dixon, Guard

On the Tigers' slow start on offense... "We were sluggish at first, and Coach Haith always tells us we're going to get a team's best shot. They came out on their toes more than we did. We got a few defensive stops that ignited our offense, and that helped us to finish strong."
