Mizzou Head Coach Frank Haith

Opening Statement
"I thought it was a great win for us. West Virginia came in the game averaging over 80 points a game and I thought for 33 minutes we were terrific defensively. They're an outstanding three-point shooting team and our emphasis all week was two-hand close-outs and taking away vision, and I thought we did an outstanding job with that. They're going to win a lot of ball games in their league, so it was a good win for us, a good resume builder."

On Mizzou's hot start to the game...
"It was a hot start both offensively and defensively. We got stops and scored in transition, and when we keep the ball moving, we're going to be pretty good offensively. We didn't settle and we were getting stops, they both work together. You don't have good offense without a good defense so you got to get stops. We didn't allow second chance points and I thought we had good execution."

On production from the bench...
"I think you have to be pleased when you look at Tony Criswell's production. He had an outstanding game tonight with almost a double-double coming off the bench. Wes Clarkhad nine points, five assists and one turnover. That's great production. He was 5-for-5 at the free throw line, and that's what you want your point guard to do. Our bigs got in foul trouble, so I like that we have depth and we can throw guys in there like Tony."

On the quick turnaround heading into the UCLA game...
"It's a tremendous challenge. You're looking at an 11:30 (a.m.) start on Saturday. We talked just now after the game that recovery starts right now. We're being smart and intelligent about what we do tonight to prepare ourselves for a tremendous game on Saturday morning. UCLA is as good offensively as anybody in the country and they're very gifted group of guys. They're well coached. We have our work cut out for us Saturday morning."

Missouri Player Quotes
Junior Guard Jordan Clarkson

On the team's defense...
"I think we did a solid job communicating and rotating. We ran guys off the three-point line. We knew they were a good three-point shooting team, so we kept guys out of the paint. I think we did a good job with that."

On Mizzou's height and athleticism affecting WVU...
"Oh most definitely, we've got a lot of long guys that can really disrupt people's shots. So when they are shooting, they are shooting over bigger guys and that always has an effect on people.

On competing against stronger teams in upcoming games...
"No, we really haven't talked about that. We come out on the court and give it our all every time we step on the court. We don't look at the jersey or who's coming on the court with us. We're just out there trying to play hard and do what we do best."

On the importance of a fast start...
"It's always good to get a fast start. We can't let somebody come in here and hit us in the mouth. That's what we really wanted to do; we wanted to come out and hit them first and just let them know that it was our home floor. And we try to that every time somebody steps on the court with us.

On the importance of his teammates...
"It's very important. Other guys are talented on this team. We got plenty of guys who can score and rebound and do other things. I think we are doing a great job, our team is meshing together; our chemistry is coming along well so I think it's just going to get better."

On the team's home win streak...
"I mean, it's tradition. We want to keep that going. Just keep protecting the home court. We just can't let anybody come in here and do whatever they want to do. So, we are just going to keep doing that and protect the house."

Senior Forward Tony Criswell

On the defense keeping the intensity up the whole season...
"Most definitely, to be a good defensive team all year long, we have to bring it for 40 minutes. The 33 minutes were good and we are just going to keep building and get better."

On his offensive activity early in the game...
"Coach Haith just gives me confidence no matter what happens. He tells me that it's not always the shot he's looking for me to shoot, but if I'm open, he says I can take it."

West Virginia Head Coach Huggins Quotes

Opening statement...
"I think sometimes with this many young guys, they try to do things that they can't do.  When we were really good in 2010 we talked every day about do what you do. And we did everything that you can't do. We're shooting step-back shots and step-back threes off the dribble. We're not going to make those. We have guys that can make open shots, and we just didn't move the ball to be able to open them up. We don't need to try to manufacture shots that we can't make."

On defending Missouri's length...

"We're going to be a penetrate and pitch team. We did a bad job on ball screens. We just didn't handle it the way we wanted to handle it."

On the maturity of the team...

"We've got to try and depend on something. Eron Harris and Terry Henderson, you would hope that they would stay more in character. Obviously, they didn't. We can't get out of character. We have to hope our five guys play better than their five guys and tonight they didn't. We just did too many things we can't do. They got 16 points in transition in large part because we threw them the ball or took bad shots. We haven't rebounded the ball all year."

On defending Missouri's Brown, Clarkson, and Ross...

"Obviously (Jabari) Brown's the guy. (Jordan) Clarkson's very, very good. But you can't let them in the lane all day. They can't live in the lane. You make a couple threes and all of a sudden you think they hurt you from three. They didn't hurt us from three. What hurt us is that they lived in the lane."

On play of Eron Harris...

"Eron has to be Eron. Eron can't be anybody else. Eron is a very, very good when he lets the game come to him. He's not so good when he doesn't, but that can be said for anybody. That's just basketball. I asked him if he'd ever seen Ray Allen dribble between his legs and shoot fadeaways. And Ray's the greatest three point shooter in the history of the NBA. You do what you do. Eron is a good player, but you can't get out of character."

West Virginia Player Quotes
Junior Guard Gary Browne

On getting right back in the game...
"As a team you always want to be on top of your game. We just have to win the first and second half. Like I said, Virginia Tech we were winning in the first half and then they came back. So we just need to fix that."

Sophomore Guard Eron Harris

On Missouri's defense...
"It affected us because they drove through the lanes and they had a lot of and ones. When they went through the free throw lines they got a lot of free throws. We didn't make our free throws so well."

Sophomore Guard Terry Henderson

On how this team compares to others...
"I think that when it gets tough, we are able to come back and win the game but we can't spend every season trying to come back every single game. Like I said, now our biggest thing is our preparation and we have to do a better job at preparing. That's more important than the game itself. That is something that we are about to focus more on then anything."
