Was named to the Toronto Sun’s All-Star Team, and later averaged 18.3 points a game during the summer of 2000 playing AAU basketball for Team Toronto Elite, under coach Rowan Russell ... Moved to Berkshire, Fla., for his senior season, where he attended Homestead Berkshire Academy, and was part of one of the most talented prep teams in the nation ... Was one of seven players to sign Division I scholarships from that team, which went 17-2 during the 2000-01 season, and lost only to the nation’s #1 team Oakhill (by three points) and to Folk Union, a fifth-year team.
