"It’s hard to believe it’s here. I never thought when I was a freshman that the time would come that I’d play my last games here. It’s been a great ride, a lot of fun. If I had to say one thing, I’m going to take away from here six life-long friends, the fellow seniors I came in with. We had a bunch of good and bad times together. We grew up together. I think we’ll remember every little thing we’ve done together. I’m going to miss coming in off of the mound and seeing Luke (Cassis) and the others in the dugout. It’ll be weird playing baseball without them after this weekend. I’m going to then sit around and wait for the draft. I know I’ll hit as many workouts as I can and spark some interest in me again. I hope I can pitch well enough to show somebody something, maybe this weekend. If it happens, it happens, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. I’m not going in with any expectations. I have a year of school left so there’s a good chance I’ll be back here in the fall to finish up and then get a job and enter the real world. Thanks for allowing me to do this the past two years. It's been fun." Please e-mail your questions/comments! - Matt Hobbs
