COLUMBIA, Mo. - The resurfacing project of Simmons Field at Taylor Stadium is nearing completion as the outfield sod was sprigged on Wednesday. That process followed the laying of the new Latitude 36 sod in the infield on Tuesday. The top was then dressed with 40 tons of sand and rolled with sod on Thursday. From this point, a steady watering process will begin as the field will likely be ready to play on within three weeks.
