Nearly two months after its season concluded, the Mizzou baseball team continues to garner awards. On Monday, Head Coach Tim Jamieson was named the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA) Midwest Region Coach of the Year. The award is voted on by the region's coaches.

Jamieson, who just completed his 13th season at the helm of the Tigers, has a career record of 441-308-2, placing him third all-time in school. Jamieson also earned Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year honors following the 2007 season.

Mizzou advanced to its fifth-straight NCAA Tournament and hosted an NCAA Regional for the first time in the program's history. MU is one of just 18 schools in the nation that have been selected to the postseason tournament in each of the last five years.

The Tigers were 42-18 in 2007, which tied for the fifth most victories in school history and their 19-8 mark in Big 12 games set a new record for wins in the conference. MU finished second in the Big 12, it's best league finish since winning the title in 1996, the final year of the Big Eight Conference.
